Renee Timmers
Renee Timmers is a Professor of Psychology of Music, who teaches and conducts research in this field while directing the research centre Muses, Mind, Machine. She holds degrees in Musicology and Psychology and has gained interdisciplinary research experience as a postdoctoral researcher in music, psychology, and computer science departments across Europe and the United States before joining the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer.

Psyche Loui
Psyche Loui is Associate Professor of Creativity and Creative Practice in the Department of Music and director of the MIND (Music, Imaging, and Neural Dynamics) lab at Northeastern University. She holds a PhD in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley, and dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Music from Duke University.

Suvi Saarikallio
Suvi Saarikallio is a Professor of Music Education and Director at the Centre of Excellence in Music, Mind, Body, and Brain, at University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Saarikallio studies music in relation to emotions, identity, youth development, and mental health. She has developed psychometric instruments such as Music for Mood Regulation (MMR) and Healthy-Unhealthy Music Scale (HUMS) and currently leads an ERC-funded project MUSICONNECT to investigate ways of measuring music as a connection to self and others.

Amanda Krause
Dr Amanda Krause is a Senior Lecturer (Psychology) in the College of Healthcare Sciences at James Cook University (Queensland, Australia). She is also an Honorary Fellow at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and an Honorary Research Associate at the The Kids Institute.

ICMPC 17 Organizing Chair
Masanobu Miura
Masanobu Miura is an Associate Professor at Kunitachi College of Music in Japan, specializing in music informatics and acoustics. He served as an Organizing Chair for the 17th International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition (ICMPC17) in 2023 and is involved in organizing the International Symposium on Musical Acoustics (ISMA) 2026.

Patricia Maria Vanzella
Patricia Maria Vanzella served as a professor in the Department of Music at the University of Brasília from 1993 to 2017, progressing from assistant professor to associate professor, where she contributed to undergraduate and graduate music education.
In 2010, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Information Engineering at the Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC). In 2015, Vanzella joined UFABC as coordinator of the Neuroscience and Music Project, transitioning to associate professor (Professora Adjunta) in the Center for Mathematics, Computing, and Cognition in 2018, where she remains active.
