We are delighted to announce the first event of the ESCOM Lab Meeting Initiative, a new series of informal online meetings showcasing research from music cognition laboratories around the world.
Our inaugural host is the Music Psychology, Music Performance Science, and Music Performance Teaching (MP3) Lab at the University of Melbourne, Australia, led by Dr Solange Glasser.
Founded in 2020, the MP3 Lab brings together researchers exploring the psychological dimensions of music and its impact on individuals and society.

Assessing the Impact of Hearing Differences on Music Mixing Practices

We are delighted to announce the second event of the ESCOM Lab Meeting Initiative, a new series of informal online meetings showcasing research in music cognition and related fields from laboratories and researchers around the world.
For our second event, we welcome Lorenzo Bonoldi from the University of Salford, who will present his research on hearing differences and music-mixing practices.
Lorenzo Bonoldi holds a BA in Product Design, an MA in Popular Music Practice, and a postgraduate diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control. His professional career has included diverse roles ranging from designing music equipment for classical orchestras to working with state-of-the-art music studios. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Salford, where his research focuses on hearing loss among audio engineers and on developing approaches that can help engineers continue to create and enjoy music despite changes in their hearing health.
